*Attempts to overload sappers that are attached to the hull
Sappers, with their ability to drain energy from key systems, pose a serious threat to star pilots. The Burn-Off Device developed by Navitec provides a pilot with an automatic effective counter-measure. Sensors within the device scan for the presence of sappers. When sappers are detected, micro bursts of concentrated energy are fired at them. This attempts to burn out the sapper’s circuit boards disabling them.
Trivia[]
- Since sappers are exclusive to the Bora, only GalSpan ships benefit from this system. However, none of the AI in singleplayer fire sappers, so this system is useful only in multiplayer.
